Hearing Smetana variations on folk tunes while gazing at the ceiling mosaics of old Czech myths is an experience not to be missed.

Rudolfinum | | Alsovo nábrezí 12 | | | Praha 1 | | Tel: | +420 2 2489 3311 | | Metro | Staromęstská | | Tram | 17 | One of the most beautiful concert venues in Europe. Built in neo-classical style at the end of the nineteenth century, the Rudolfinum has two halls: the DvoÁák Hall for orchestral works and major recitals, and the Suk Hall for chamber, instrumental and solo vocal music. Opinions are divided about the acoustics of the DvoÁák Hall, but the grandeur of the building's interior - plus the high standard of musicianship at the concerts - make an evening here eminently worthwhile.
