You find yourself wondering where to take a client or potential client to eat. You want a pleasant environment that is elegant or interesting, an appealing menu, and superb service. Nobody is in a better position to recommend appropriate places than fellow members of the business community. Accordingly, the following restaurants have been suggested by a representative subset of international professionals.

Why? I like to take clients to Bellevue because it’s in a nice location and it has a great kitchen. The service is also very attentive and caters meticulously to its customers.

What? The fois gras, French cuisine seems after all to have something going for it.

Why? It’s a very good restuarant which serves basic French food, making it a safe place to bring a client. The prices are very reasonable.
What? For an appetizer, the goat cheese salad is very good. Get the lamb ribs as a main course.

Flambee Restaurant

Why? Flambee is one of the best kept secrets in Prague. They have an exceptional wine list which is ten to fifteen pages long, and they offer bottles of wine for up to $29,000. The food and service are excellent.
What? I recommend the steak.

Why? Hotel Paríž is conveniently located, has fine cuisine, and a nice atmosphere. Beyond this, the staff is attentive and courteous to the needs of people discussing business while dining.
What? I like the chicken dish, although everything on the menu is tasty.

Why? I would go on a high-level business lunch or dinner to La Perle de Prague because the food is fine and the tables are not placed too close together. They offer valet parking which is a convenience that is not found elsewhere in Prague
What? I recommend the veal kidneys and sweetbread, although all of the dishes are delicious.
Christian Massaad – Hotel Intercontinental

Why? The food at La Provence is very good. The French style makes it a special place to dine at and speak with customers or colleagues.
What? I recommend everything. I’ve never ordered anything that didn’t please me.

Why? This restaurant offers great food, pleasant service, and incredible desserts, all in a quiet and relaxing environment. They don’t “hammer the brain” which I don’t enjoy. Don’t go if you want to stay slim, because you have to indulge in the unbelievable desserts.

Why? Pizzeria Rugantino’s central location, quick and friendly service, and relaxed atmosphere make it the perfect place to do business. You’re also likely to see a familiar face here as well.
What? Tasty, light, thin crusted pizza and good-sized, fresh, interesting salads are available. Rugantino has a wide variety of unusual pizzas with less common toppings including asparagus and potatoes. Nevertheless, I recommend the buffalo mozarella and margarita pizza.

The Red Baron

Why? I’ve closed many deals at the Red Baron. The food is very good and it is one of the few places you can get vegetarian food where they don’t look down at you. Beyond this, the decor at the Red Baron provides a good conversation piece.
What? My favorite dish is the lamb on a skewer.
Mathew Hill – Nicholson International

Radost FX Café

Why? I take clients to Radost because it’s interesting and slightly off-beat, making it a good place to take people who have just arrived in Prague. The atmosphere is casual and a good cross-section of people are displayed.
What? I recommend the pasta special of the day. It’s always good.

Why? The energy at Reykjavík is fast and fun. Don’t be surprised if your waiter or waitress just got off the plane from Iceland.
What? Living in a landlocked country makes it difficult to find really good, fresh fish. Hands down the salmon in plaice is the best dish I’ve had in Prague. The wine list has a wide variety of Czech and foreign vintages to complement your meal.

Why? Taverna Toscana serves the best Northern Italian food and personalized service in Prague. The Italian chef is incredible and every day, different types of pasta are offered.
What? I just tell Moreno, the owner, to order me dinner. He always takes care of me and supplies a delicious meal.

Why? I like going to U Malého Glena for a business lunch because it’s quiet during the day, the atmosphere is great, and the music is good. You can eat lunch and get your business out of the way in a short time here.
What? I recommend the bagel sandwiches and the soups.

Why? V Zátiší offers consistently good service and nice food. The setting is elegant and quiet. It is nearly impossible to be unsatisfied dining here.

Why? U Vladare is the ideal place to take outsiders for business. It offers traditional Czech cuisine which are very tasty.
What? They offer a platter with assorted meats and dumplings which kills several birds with one stone. It enables people to sample a wide variety of Czech specialties.
